Good Morning, Czech Republic is a society-wide initiative aimed at strengthening the image of the Czech Republic both at home and abroad. It emerges as an open challenge: let's awaken the best that is in us – and what gives the Czech Republic a good name in the world.

The initiative responds to the weak perception of the Czech Republic abroad, which sociological surveys have long shown. The world associates the Czech Republic in a positive light primarily with nature, cultural heritage and beer tradition. However, a significantly smaller part of the foreign public can associate us with innovations, science or security, for example.

Join us too and tell us what the Czech Republic can be proud of!

Dotazník Step 1
  • Who stands behind the initiative

The process of creating a unified identity is strategically managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Good Morning, Czech Republic initiative is coordinated by Czech Centers together with state promotional agencies CzechInvest, CzechTourism, CzechTrade, House of International Cooperation and National Sports Agency. Among the active partners of the initiative is the business platform Second Economic Transformation. The participatory concept was created by the Blížksobě Foundation and the analytical institute STEM.

This is an apolitical initiative that is based on expert know-how and is inspired by countries that have successfully undergone a similar process (e.g. Netherlands, Finland or Estonia).

Maybe as a nation we sometimes don't agree. But we all want our country to prosper, for its citizens to thrive and to be able to fulfill their dreams and ambitions. Our goal is to build a long-term, thoughtful and trustworthy communication strategy for presenting the Czech Republic not only abroad, professionally known as national branding, which will be usable across sectors and will be intergenerational at the same time. The first phase is public engagement and data collection that will enable the necessary analysis for further steps. This strategy will ultimately bring tangible results in the areas of exports, tourism, investments, but also citizen confidence and the quality of public debate.
